Community & Creative Work

Over 20 years of singing, performance and creative projects across all ages

Ronstars & Creative Work

Alongside my private teaching, I have spent over 20 years creating and leading singing groups, performances and creative projects for all ages through Ronstars and related work.

From preschool workshops to adult choirs and community showcases, this work has always been centred around building confidence, developing voices and creating opportunities to perform.

While my focus today is on one-to-one singing lessons, these experiences continue to shape the way I teach — bringing real performance insight into every lesson.

Working with Performing Arts Students

I have a deep passion for musical theatre and the performing arts, which continues to shape the way I teach and support my students.

Alongside my private teaching, I have worked with Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts for over 17 years, including being part of the founding team during the early development of the full-time higher education academy.

It has been a hugely rewarding relationship, and I feel very fortunate to have remained part of the academy’s journey.

I now continue to work with the under-16s, leading weekly singing classes and supporting their performance work — including vocal direction and preparing show material for the stage.

Little Ronstars - Early Years Music

Little Ronstars began in the early 2000s, following several years performing as a singer in bands and as a solo artist. I felt ready to channel my creativity in a new way, which led me to begin composing children’s music and developing preschool musical workshops.

This work was recognised with a Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Award, and I was honoured to be invited to afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen.

These sessions were designed to introduce music at the earliest stages of development, helping young children build confidence, creativity and a love of singing through play and performance.

Many of these songs are still enjoyed today, and I continue to draw on elements of this work when teaching younger students.
